Laboratory Methods & Quality Control (ASTM D 6686)

Beta Analytic utilizes chemical methods as outlined in ASTM method D6686. The standard is available for download (for a fee) from the ASTM website (www.astm.org).

Quality Control measures at Beta Analytic are designed to ensure the accurate reporting of every result. Internal standards are run daily.

Multiple cross-checks (including bar-coding) are performed throughout each analysis. Internal and external controls are analyzed routinely to measure and monitor on-going laboratory accuracy and reproducibility.

Beta Analytic’s quality assurance program is audited annually by the Department of Energy for work done in previous years for the nuclear storage industry.

Beta Analytic is under-going ISO-17025 certification and expects to be officially certified by October 2008. Although official certification is pending, note that Beta has always and consistently strived to work at ISO-17025 levels of quality control.
